Welcome to our 2025 tour of India.

India is vast, but we’ve drilled down into our favourites, we know these will become yours as well.

28 February – 10 March’25

Our incredible ‘celebration of all things decor’ pattern, design, textiles tour begins in Delhi for TWO magnificent nights. Chosen as India’s best ‘Luxury Historical Hotel’ by World Luxury Hotel Awards 2015, The Imperial is an iconic property in Delhi’s 5 star hotel category. If you are an art enthusiast, the hotel opens your eyes to a labyrinth of aquatints and lithographs with landscapes and portraits that provide an enriching panorama that was central to India’s cultural imagery, showcasing period art by eminent artists.

On day three, we have a short one hour 10 minutes flight to the Blue City – Jodhpur. On the edge of the Thar Desert, It’s also where the eponymous pants got their name from! These unusual jodhpur pants were designed by the Maharaja of Jodhpur’s son, Pratap Singh, and worn by his polo team when visiting the Queen of England in 1897. The Blue City Jodhpur initially painted havelis blue, to signify that they were occupied by Brahmins, the highest caste in India. The glorious Raas will be our home for TWO incredible nights – incredible patterns (and shopping) to be found here! Wouldn’t it be fun to go to a Polo match… oh exciting times to dream of, for sure!

Leaving Jodhpur, with heavier suitcases, and heavy hearts, we have another short, sharp flight into our favorite pink city, Jaipur, where we’ll have FIVE nights at the magnificent, Samode Haveli – Built 225 years ago as a residence of the rulers of Samode, it is still occupied by their descendants, who have converted their home into a luxury hotel.

A splendid example of regal Indo-Saracenic architecture, combines the best of Indian and Mughal styles.

We will introduce you to our India, the India we fell in love with, it’s vibrant, amazing, colours, phonomenal designs, and embellishments and craftsmanship, and we’ll meet some of these very talented souls, along our journey.

From the beaders, to the block printers, to embroideries, the the chai wallahs, and the bangle sellers, and patient tailors and the amazing chefs – all our senses, will be well fed.

We’ve also added a highlight at the end..

The Taj Mahal – where patterns are the ultimate! ONE night at the ITC Mughal. Oh, bring it on!

There’s room for just 12 of us, making it an small enough group, to write those unforgettable ‘Indian stories’ deep within our hearts.

Do join us – you’re in for a trip of a lifetime.

AND there’s not too many spaces left!
