Day 1 – 7 February 2025 – D – Arusha
Ideally located close to Lake Manyara, Kilimanjaro, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro National Parks, Arusha is the undoubted safari capital of Tanzania.
Located at the foot of Mt. Meru and in the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha was built by the Germans as a centre for colonial administration due to its temperate climate. Serviced by two airports and with a huge variety of accommodation and dining options, Arusha is the logical starting and finishing point for most safaris.
Located in the middle of a verdant coffee plantation, Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge is a sanctuary of aromatic tranquility and a welcome retreat after a long international flight, or the dust and excitement of a thrilling bush safari.
Tour of Arusha’s highlights, the fabulous art gallery in town, Maasai market, coffee plantation and welcome dinner.
Accommodation – Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge
Day 2 – 8 February 2025 – B – Arusha
Arusha City Tour
Planned: This tour will take you inside the workings of the busy little town of Arusha. You have the opportunity to visit a school, church, local market and have a drink in a local pub. This will be one of the most interesting experiences during your Tanzanian holiday.
Day 3 – 9 February 2025 – B L D – Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is game viewing gone crazy and it is not surprising that with is one of Tanzania’s major tourist drawcards. Within the crater rim a daily wildlife drama is played out as large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby lions, leopards, elephants and black rhinos. Outside of the crater a similar drama continues in a more spread out manner with Masai herdsmen thrown into the mix.
Game drive in Tarangire followed by afternoon drive to Mto wa Mbu.
Perched high on the rim of the Great Rift Valley, Escarpment Luxury Lodge is a serene haven overlooking the wonder of Lake Manyara below.
Accommodation – Escarpment Luxury Lodge
Day 4 – 10 February 2025 – B L D – Ndutu
Set in the Arusha Region, Ndutu is situated in the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the magnificent Serengeti. The surrounding landscapes are covered in sweeping grasslands which provide the perfect habitat for the migratory route for hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, antelope and zebra. Visitors can look forward to exploring the forest around Lake Ndutu, spotting an array of wildlife.
Accommodation – Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp
Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp is in the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area near the border of the Southern Serengeti. This area is classic savannah, characterized by flat grassy plains, and our camp is in one of the finest locations in Ndutu to see the migration between December and March. Tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle usually arrive in December to graze on the newly-watered, highly nutritious short grass plains, and then by February, the main calving season takes place. Predators – especially the big cats – are highly concentrated in the Ndutu area in these months. With 9 tents, Lemala Ndutu is perched on the edge of a permanent marsh and acts as the ultimate amphitheatre to capture the boundless drama that accompanies the migration.
Day 5 – 11 February 2025 – B L D – Ndutu
Known affectionately as ‘big cat country, the Seronera region of the Serengeti is the park’s most visited region.
One of the best places to witness the Wildebeest Migration during the early months of the year, the Central Serengeti boasts the most accommodation options and the best opportunity to see big cats such as lions, cheetahs, and the always elusive leopard in the wild.
The presence of these predators in no way dissuades herbivores from calling the region home, and visitors can expect to see everything from diminutive impala to towering elephants and giraffes as they drive amidst the kopjes and acacia trees.

Day 6 – 12 February 2025 – B L D – Central Serengeti
Lemala Ewanjan is an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti. The Seronera region is an important wildlife transition zone between the southern grasslands and the northern woodlands and is renowned for its year-round game viewing due to its abundance of water in the many rivers, as well as for its large populations of resident big cats. Additionally, between April and June, and again between November and January, this area is crossed by the annual wildebeest migration, which provides always thrilling wildlife drama.
We have carefully positioned Lemala Ewanjan right at the end of a blind valley, so other vehicles will not interrupt your view across the plains during the day, and in the evening, you can enjoy uninterrupted sunsets with no electric lights in sight.

Day 9 – 15 February 2025 – B L D – The Mora Zanzibar
Sandwiched between tropical greenery and the warm azure waters of the Indian Ocean, remote Matemwe beach is arguably the most enchanting of all the beaches in Zanzibar. Located on the last stretch of sand before the beaches give way to rugged cliffs on the uninhabited north-east coast of the island, Matemwe offers an unspoiled natural landscape, perfect for a relaxing tropical beach holiday. With its lovely shallow lagoon and the coral gardens of the renowned Mnemba Atoll resting just off the coast, Matemwe boasts some of Africa’s most impressive diving and snorkelling sites where you can marvel at the abundance of exotic marine life including colourful reef fish, turtles and many species of dolphin. Above water, visitors can experience a local fishing trip on a traditional dhow, visit nearby markets and villages, or simply kick back under a palm tree and unwind, far from the stresses of the modern world.
