8:30: Once you have concluded your check-out formalities, you will be met and collected for your private transfer to the enchanting Cape Winelands. Your day starts with a visit to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa and the historic heart of the country’s wine region. In 1679, Dutch East India Company governor Simon van der Stel recognized the spectacular view sites.
We start the morning with a visit to Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, which borders the manicured suburbs of Stellenbosch. In this garden of private myth, the artist explores the Jungian notion of ‘the wilderness within’. More than 60 sculptures constituting a comprehensive record of his artistic development thus far have been carefully sited along 4 km of paths.

Dinner at leisure

Breakfast at the hotel
Begin the day with a Garden tour at 10 am.
Set within 3,5 hectares (8 acres) of cultivated fruit and vegetables, the big garden at Babylonstoren is at the heart of the farm. It was inspired by the historic Company’s Garden in Cape Town, which supplied sailing ships of the Dutch East India Company with fresh vegetables and fruit during the days when the Cape was a halfway station between Europe and Asia. One of the experienced gardeners will be your guide on this tour, during which we encourage guests to pick, taste, smell and touch while walking through our garden. Tour Duration: 1,5 hours
Enjoy winetasting at Babylostoren.
Continue to the beautiful village of Franschhoek, near the Drakenstein Mountains founded in 1688 by French immigrants fleeing the Huguenot religious persecution in Europe. A memorial in the town commemorates the arrival of these early settlers who helped develop the wines sought after by Napoleon, Bismark and royalty such as Edward VII, the Prince of Wales.
1 pm: Lunch: Grande Provence – Wine Paired Lunch (other drinks for your own account)
Tasting: Boschendal – The historic Cape vernacular Manor House dates back to 1812 and is home to the premier wine-tasting experiences.
Proceed to your hotel and spend the rest of your evening at leisure.
Farewell Dinner will be enjoyed at Babel Restaurant of the hotel (drinks for your own account)

Breakfast at the hotel
